FREE First Night of Boarding
We’re so excited to show you and your pup our amazing facility and care that the first night is on us!
Discount subject to availability and cannot be combined with other offers. Boarding discount applies to first-time customers only and is valid for any boarding accommodation selected.
Dogs play outside
Dogs play outside in our large shade covered yards with friends the majority of the day. Other facilities will charge you a boarding rate and additional fee for playtime or daycare.
Evaluations
In order to provide the absolute best care to all animals, and tailor our services to your pet’s needs, all dogs are evaluated before participating in play groups.
We do not require an evaluation prior to their stay. The evaluation will be done on the first day of their daycare or boarding stay and we will provide you with a report at the end of the day.

Boarding Details
STANDArd
All Play Time is included, we never charge extra for group play!
Social dogs play outside in groups rotating throughout the day. All dogs recieve a minimum of 3 play groups per day, 30-45 minutes each group, as weather allows. Dogs are monitored and brought in early if needed.
Deluxe
Dogs staying in Deluxe Rooms receive two additional services included with their stay:
Daily Enrichment Activity: Typically a $15 add-on. The enrichment activity will vary by dog and by season. This could be a seasonal frozen treat, treat filled Kong, treat puzzle, variations for dogs with food allergies may include 1×1 walk with staff, 1×1 play time in the pool, bubbles, or other fun activities.
Tuck in Treat: As your dog is tucked into their room for the night they will receive a treat to snack on.
Luxury
Larger Room: All of our Luxury Rooms are larger than standard boarding rooms.
Comfy raised bed: All luxury rooms have a comfortable raised bed for your dog to sleep on.

Individual Boarding
Shady Acres Pet Ranch is primarily a group play facility. Dogs play in large social groups throughout the day. While we do accept dogs that do not enjoy socialization with other dogs, or dogs that are unable to participate in group play, they require more one-on-one staff time.
Our Individual Boarding service provides additional potty breaks, one-on-one care and attention from a staff member, and a dedicated space during their stay.
Individual Boarding is required for all dogs that are unable to participate in Group Play. + $15 / night
Puppy Boarding
Over the years we have found that puppies have specific needs in order to give them the best boarding experience.
Our Puppy Boarding provides extra potty breaks, more one on one care and attention from a staff member, and a dedicated space during their stay. In addition to standard outdoor play times, Puppy Boarding adds 3 additional potty breaks with a staff member.
Puppy Boarding is required for all puppies 6 months and younger. Puppy Boarding can be booked for dogs older than 6 months that need additional potty breaks or outside time. Only Puppy siblings share rooms, adult dogs board in their own rooms.

Check Out Time
We operate much like a hotel, our rooms are charged per night and per dog.
Our check out time is 1pm, this allows us to prepare our rooms for other dogs that are arriving on your departure day.
If you check out after 1pm you will be charged for a day of daycare.
We do not charge this fee on Sundays because pick up is only from 3pm-6pm.
Food and Medications

- Client food not individually bagged by feeding: $25 bagging fee
- Kennel food: $5/dog/day
Separate Feeding
If your dogs are unable to be fed together, we will reserve a second room to feed them separately. The charge to feed separately is $15 per night. This covers the cost of the second room and the staff time to separate dogs for every feeding.
Holiday Booking Deposit Policy
Holiday bookings require a 50% deposit. During holidays we reach capacity and early cancellation of your reserved space is critical. The deposit is refundable if canceled 14 days prior to start of your stay. The deposit for holiday bookings not canceled 14 days prior to the start of your stay, including early returns, is non-refundable.
Peak Season Rates
Due to the increased demand and higher labor costs during peak occupancy periods, we implement a $7/night price adjustment per pet during the following times:

Frequently Asked Questions
Our dogs spend most of the day in groups playing outside on 3 acres of shaded, fenced yard, not stuck in a kennel. Playtime, medication administration, and feeding of owner food (bagged per feeding) are all included in your boarding price — no extra charges.
All dogs must be current on:

- Distemper (DHPP / DA2PP)
- Bordetella (Canine Cough)
Vaccination records must be uploaded to your online profile, emailed by your veterinarian, or faxed prior to arrival.
Yes. Dogs over 8 months of age must be spayed or neutered for boarding and daycare.
No. We cannot board dogs showing signs of illness, including coughing, nasal discharge, diarrhea, vomiting, lethargy, or eye discharge. Dogs showing signs of illness may be transferred to their veterinarian at the owner’s expense.
Please bring:
- Collar, leash, or harness
- Individually bagged food (bagged per feeding)
- Packaged treats
- Supplements or medications in original packaging
We do not accept beds, blankets, toys, bowls, slow feeders, food containers, or clothing items.
Meals must be individually bagged for safety and accuracy.
Food sent from home that is non-bagged by feeding will carry a charge of $5 per dog per day
Kennel food (not grain-free) is $5 per dog per day.
Our check-out time is 1 p.m. All boarding dogs must be picked up by 1 p.m. to allow us to clean our rooms and prepare for incoming dogs.
If your dog needs to stay past 1 p.m., a late check-out fee of $25 will be charged. (We do not charge this fee on Sundays when pick-up is from 4-6 p.m.)
No. Medication administration is included at no charge, but prescription medications must be provided in original packaging and verified at feeding time. No loose pills are accepted.
OTC medications and supplements must be in original packaging or clearly labeled with names, quantities, and strengths in Ziplock bags.
We can administer medications in treats (cheese, peanut butter, etc.) if you provide us with these items. We will not accept medications already prepared in treats. We will also not accept any medications mixed with food.
No — all playtime is included. Pool access is included, and if you want reserved pool time every day, select a Deluxe or Luxury boarding option.
No — we do not have breed restrictions. All dogs who meet our health and vaccination requirements may be considered for boarding.
