We’re so excited to show you and your pup our amazing facility and care that the first night is on us!

Dogs play outside
Dogs play outside in our large shade covered yards with friends the majority of the day. Other facilities will charge you a boarding rate and additional fee for playtime or daycare.
Evaluations
In order to provide the absolute best care to all animals, and tailor our services to your pet’s needs, all dogs are evaluated before participating in play groups.
We do not require an evaluation prior to their stay. The evaluation will be done on the first day of their daycare or boarding stay and we will provide you with a report at the end of the day.

All playtime is included, dogs play outside a minimum of 3-4 times per day in groups. Dogs that are not able to play in groups are taken outside individually a minimum of 3-4 times per day.
All medication administration and feeding of owner food is included.
Doggy Daycare
Our Daycare program is designed for social dogs who enjoy playing in groups with other dogs throughout the day. Dogs play in groups of 15-25 throughout the day in our large shaded play yards and pool area.
Dogs will be evaluated for their fit into our daycare program. Please call to schedule your evaluation.

Boarding Enrichment Add-on Available All Days
Our Dayschool program is designed for dogs who do not enjoy socialization in groups. Dayschool dogs receive one on one attention from staff members during their day.
A dedicated Dayschool staff member will prepare a fun day of activities tailored specifically to your Dog. These activities include Brain Game Puzzles, Playing Fetch and Frisbee, Outdoor Walks, or Treadmill Exercise depending on what your dog enjoys.
Micro Socialization can be used for Dogs who enjoy one-on-one time with another dog, smaller groups of 2-3 dogs, or dogs who are needing to be introduced to, or work up to, socialization.

What’s included in Shady Acres dog daycare pricing?
All playtime, feeding of owner-provided food, and medication administration (when provided per policy) are included in the price of daycare. Pool time is also included.
Do dogs play outside during daycare?
Absolutely. Dogs play outside in our large shaded yards for the majority of the day. Group-play dogs go out a minimum of 3–4 times per day. Dogs who aren’t a good fit for group play still receive individual outdoor time 3–4 times per day.
Do you require an evaluation before my dog can attend daycare?
All dogs are evaluated before joining play groups so we can tailor care and ensure safety. An evaluation is not required before the first visit—it’s completed on your dog’s first daycare (or boarding) day, and you’ll receive a report at the end of the day.
What vaccinations are required for dog daycare at Shady Acres Pet Ranch?
All dogs must be current on the following vaccinations before attending daycare:
- Rabies
- Distemper (DHPP / DA2PP)
- Bordetella (Canine Cough)
Vaccination records must be uploaded to your online profile or submitted by your veterinarian prior to participation.
Does my dog need to be spayed or neutered?
Yes. Dogs over 8 months of age must be spayed or neutered to participate in daycare and group play.
How should I prepare my dog’s food?
Owner-provided food must be individually bagged by meal for safety and accuracy. Food sent from home that is not bagged will be charged a $5 bagging fee.
Kennel food (not grain-free) is also available at $5 per dog per day.

What is Dayschool, and what does it include?
Dayschool, held Monday–Friday, includes a full day of individualized activities such as brain game puzzles, fetch/frisbee, outdoor walks, treadmill exercise, and micro-socialization when appropriate. A mid-day treat is included. Reservations are required.
Micro-socialization is a gentle option for dogs who do better with one other dog or small groups of 2–3, or for dogs who need to work up to group socialization over time.
